Book Review Persephone & Me

front coverTitle: Persephone & Me

Author: Corinne Desjardins

Genre: Women’s Poetry

Mythopoetic reflections from a contemporary Persephone.

An inspiring, thought-provoking poetry collection. It focuses on coming of age, of girls turning into women, mixing mythology with more modern themes, into an interesting collection. I liked most of the poems, and some of them were especially memorable. I particularly loved “Scrape”.

I don’t often review poetry, but I do enjoy it reading it, and this was one of the more enjoyable collections I’ve read. The theme works great too.
