Author Interview An Impossible Dilemma

I’m hosting an interview today with Netta Newbound, author of suspense / thriller “An Impossible Dilemma”.

1) How long have you been writing?

All my life on and off but properly about ten years.

2) Is An Impossible Dilemma your first book? If not, please tell us a little about your first book.

My first book will never see the light of day – however I learned a lot during the writing of it and think it was definitely a process I needed to go through. Behind Shadows was my second book and this is also available on Amazon.

3) Why did you choose to write a thriller?

I prefer to read thrillers, but after joining Romance Writers of NZ I thought I should try my hand at romance – it was a disaster. Once I started writing thrillers I knew it was where I needed to focus.

4) Do you have any advice for aspiring authors?

To just focus on writing the first draft – the editing and grammar can be altered later.

5) Do you have any works in progress you’d like to tell us about?

I have completed the first draft of Embellished Deception, a standalone thriller novel set in Cumbria UK. It is due to be released early next year, and also Mind Benders the third book in the Adam Stanley Thriller Series. This is only half written at this stage but will be released next year.

Local vets Victoria and Jonathan Lyons seem to have everything—a perfect marriage, a beautiful five-year-old daughter, Emily, and a successful business. Until they discover Emily has a rare and fatal illness.

Early trials show that a temporary fix would be to transplant a hormone from a living donor. However in the trials; the donors had died within twenty four hours. They have no choice but to accept their daughter is going to die.

When Jonathan is suddenly killed in a farming accident, Victoria turns to her sick father-in-law, Frank, for help.  A series of events present Victoria and Frank with a situation that, although illegal, could help save Emily.

Will they take it?
